Storytelling Workshop

Here, in the heart of the beautiful cultural landscape of the Vega Archipelago, you are invited to listen, explore, and create. Surrounded by the sea, islands, and a living history, we will together open the space between what we see – and what we can imagine.

In this workshop, we work with objects. Small traces of life, work, and dreams. Perhaps they have been held in a hand, tucked away, used every day, or forgotten in a corner. Now, they get a new chance to be heard. We let the objects whisper to us. What memories do they carry? What stories lie hidden in their shape, wear, and materials? Through wonder, play, and storytelling, we give a voice to what is otherwise silent.

This is a place for curiosity, imagination, and sharing. There are no right or wrong stories – only yours, mine, and ours. Welcome to create stories together, inspired by the landscape and the objects.

We will enter the world of objects with open senses, wondering and experiencing "aha" moments, both alone and together. We will work with techniques that make stories vivid and authentic. The language of objects, the obvious and the secret stories. About things we have a connection to. At this year's storytelling workshop, we will create and recreate stories about the objects around us; they may have been with us for many years, but they can also be newer items you feel attached to. Why are these objects so important? What are they telling us?

Please bring 2-3 objects you have a personal connection to.
